Kurt Claasen (b. January 9, 1908) was an SS-Hauptsturmführer involved in the 'Aktion Reinhardt', a significant operation during the Holocaust. He joined the NSDAP in 1931 and the SS in 1932. Claasen participated in the Volksdeutschen Selbstschutz, a police organization involved in the persecution of Polish citizens. He worked under Odilo Globocnik in Lublin, contributing to the organization of Jewish deportations and forced labor initiatives, and later led operations in Mogilew, Białystok, and Minsk. After the war, he was declared dead, with no subsequent prosecution.
