Kyōko Kuriki (originally Nakahara Kyōko) is a Japanese poet born on October 23, 1954, in Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture. She joined the literary group 'Cosmos' while studying at Kyoto University and received guidance from Kuniyo Takayasu. Kuriki has been a member of the poetry group 'Tower' since 1981 and serves as a selector for the Yomiuri Shimbun poetry column. Her poetic style evolved from fresh youth poems to detailed observations of daily life after marriage. Influenced by the September 11 attacks, her later works began to address contemporary issues.
