Kyōko Shimazaki is a former Japanese speed skater born on January 7, 1972, in Otofuke. She made her international debut in 1990, achieving impressive placements in various competitions including a seventh place finish at the Senior World Sprint Championships and a silver medal at the Asian Winter Games in the 500m event. She regularly competed in the World Cup from the 1990/1991 season, winning the overall title for the 500m distance. Shimazaki represented Japan at the Winter Olympics in 1992 and 1994, and retired after the 1998 Winter Olympics.
