Kyŏng-su Pak (朴敬洙, April 1, 1930 – December 24, 2012) was a South Korean novelist born in Seocheon. He worked as an elementary and middle school teacher. Pak gained recognition in 1955 when his short story '그들이' (They) was selected in a contest for the 2nd anniversary of the magazine '사상계'. He published several influential short stories and full-length novels, including '동토' (Frozen Land) and '흔들리는 산하' (The Shaking Mountains) in the 1970s. He passed away in 2012 due to old age-related health issues.
