Kyriakos Temertsidi was a Soviet and Russian religious and public figure, known for his role as the chairman of the Holy Synod of the Alternative Orthodox Russian Church and as the Metropolitan of Stavropol and Southern Russia from 2002 until his death in 2016. Born Vladimir Vyacheslavovich Temertsidi on May 5, 1942, in Pyatigorsk, he previously held the position of out-of-office hegumen in the Stavropol Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church. He passed away on September 7, 2016, in Moscow.
