Lady Will Carr (born April 24, 1922, in Texarkana) was an American jazz pianist known for her significant contributions to the Los Angeles jazz scene in the 1940s. She accompanied the vocal trio The V’s and performed with various notable musicians, including Charles Mingus and Lucky Thompson. Carr participated in several recording sessions, creating enduring works during her career. Sadly, she struggled with alcoholism and drowned during a fishing trip while under its influence.
