She debuted as a singer in 1968 with the band Viking and later performed with Väntorel and the women's ensemble Laine for eight years. Post family establishment, she became a soloist at Viru varietee. Additionally, Alpius has a significant choral singing background, having sung for 33 years in academic choirs. Beyond music, she has a passion for gardening and previously owned a flower shop.
