Lars-Eric Järlestrand was a Swedish pastor and author, born on June 15, 1937, in Falkenberg. He studied hospital chaplaincy, theology, and ethics at various Swedish and American institutions. Järlestrand served as a pastor in free-church congregations and was the lead pastor at Malmö Filadelfiaförsamling from 1979 to 1988. He later spent around fifteen years as a hospital pastor at Lund University Hospital until retirement. He passed away on September 11, 2022, and was the father of singer Mikael Järlestrand.
