Lars Bertil Fimmerstad, born May 2, 1945, in Mariestad, is a Swedish journalist, essayist, and author specializing in the history of Stockholm under the pen name Fimmer. He studied at the University of Gothenburg, graduating as a candidate of philosophy in 1969. Fimmerstad worked for Göteborgs Handels och Sjöfartstidning from 1970 to 1973 and for Svenska Dagbladet from 1973 to 1985. His childhood home in Töreboda suffered a burglary, robbery, and arson in 2013, resulting in the death of his mother.
