Lars Grarup is a Danish journalist born on April 28, 1959, in Tølløse. After finishing high school in 1979, he was active in the BZ movement and Socialistisk Arbejderparti. Grarup graduated from Danmarks Journalisthøjskole in 1987 and began his career at DR TV. He later worked at TV 2/Lorry, became the program planning chief at TV 2, and returned to DR, eventually becoming TV director. From 2010 to 2015, he was editor-in-chief of Politiken. He lives on Østerbro with his wife and has four children.
