Lars Harlem (1946–2022) was a Norwegian mechanical engineer who served as president of NITO, the Norwegian Society of Engineers and Technologists, from 1975 to 1979. He was elected at the representatives' meeting in Kristiansand in 1975, completing his term in 1979. Harlem was active in establishing the Central Federation of Professional Organizations in 1977, aiming to counterbalance the alliance between LO and the Labour Party after leaving the Labour Party during his youth. He was also the chairman of the Federation of Academics from 1976 to 1977.
