Lars Myrold was a Norwegian farmer, politician from the Centre Party, mayor, and local historian from Stårheim in Eid municipality. He served on the Eid municipal council from 1952 to 1983, was deputy mayor from 1963 to 1972, and mayor from 1972 to 1983. Myrold was also a member of the Sogn og Fjordane county council from 1972 to 1975 and led KS Sogn og Fjordane for several years. He contributed to the establishment of the Army Museum in Nordfjordeid in 1981 and published several books on local humor and history. Myrold was awarded the King's Medal of Merit in 2002.
