Lars Øyvind Meland is a Norwegian musician born on February 23, 1977, in Namsos. He was the bassist for Terje Tysland from 2000 to 2005 and was a member of the now-defunct rock band Sex Gale Menn, which achieved significant success in 1999 with their album Høgt under kuppel'n. Meland also played in the band James Band early in his career. He worked as a music teacher at Namsos Kulturskole and Olav Duun VGS from 2006 to 2016 and is currently the principal at Namsos Kommunale Kulturskole.
