Laufey Lín Jónsdóttir, known professionally as Laufey, is an Icelandic singer of Chinese descent born on April 23, 1999, in Reykjavik, Iceland. She is recognized for her English-language jazz-pop songs released in the 2020s. At 15, she played cello with the Iceland Symphony Orchestra and was a finalist in 'Iceland's Got Talent' (2014) and a semi-finalist in 'The Voice Iceland' (2015). Laufey graduated from Berklee College of Music in 2021. Her debut studio album, 'Everything I Know About Love,' and her second album, 'Bewitched,' both charted in the US and Iceland.
