Laura Elsa Fernández de Tasada was an Argentine human rights activist involved with Madres de la Plaza 25 de Mayo and the Rosario chapter of Abuelas de Plaza de Mayo. She had four children, including Laura and Adriana, and was abducted with her husband Hugo Alberto Megna in Villa Gobernador Gálvez on September 4, 1977, when they were both 20 years old. They had a young daughter named María Laura at the time of their kidnapping.
