She graduated from St. Cecilia's High School in 1941 and later from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln in 1987. Crosby was a member of the Republican party and served in the Nebraska State Legislature from 1988 to 2000. In 1971, she married Robert B. Crosby, a former governor of Nebraska. Crosby passed away on July 27, 2016.
