Lavoslav Glesinger was a Yugoslav neuropsychiatrist and medical historian, born in Zagreb on February 6, 1901. He studied medicine in Vienna and worked as a private neuropsychiatrist in Zagreb between the World Wars. He published extensively on Jewish history in Zagreb and was captured during World War II but returned in 1945 to serve in the Yugoslav Army. After the war, he became a professor at the University of Zagreb, contributing significantly to the history of psychiatry and Jewish contributions in Croatian medicine. He died on March 29, 1986, and was buried in the Jewish section of Mirogoj Cemetery in Zagreb.
