Lawrence Joseph Mira, born on August 9, 1942, is an American lawyer and jurist serving as a judge for the Los Angeles County Superior Court. Known as the 'Judge to the Stars', he presides over numerous high-profile celebrity cases. After completing his education at Loyola Marymount University, Mira was admitted to the bar in 1970 and practiced criminal law. He was appointed as a judge for the Malibu Municipal Court in 1986 and transitioned to the Superior Court after the merger of municipal courts in 2000. He was re-elected in 2012 without opposition.
