Laxmi Agarwal, born on June 1, 1990, is an Indian activist and television host known for her work against acid attacks. A survivor of an acid attack herself, she raises awareness about the rights of acid attack victims. In 2005, at the age of 15, she was attacked by a 32-year-old man for refusing to lend him money. Laxmi has campaigned for a ban on acid sales, gathering over 27,000 signatures and urging the Supreme Court of India to regulate acid sales. She is also the director of the NGO Chhanv dedicated to helping survivors of acid attacks.
