After his secondary education, he trained as a painter and studied at prestigious institutions in Paris. Tanson created various artworks, including monuments across Luxembourg and the Korean War Volunteers Monument in Seoul. He was active in the Cercle artistique de Luxembourg and played a key role in founding the ARC (Art Contemporain) organization, serving as its first president. His documentation was lost after his death.
