His career includes roles as a deputy and ministerial secretary in the Ministry of Finance from 1981-1986, later serving as financial attaché at the OECD in Paris. He advised Prime Ministers Poul Schlüter and Poul Nyrup Rasmussen on significant political issues and led the Velux Foundation and VKR Holding A/S between 1996 and 2011.
