José Miguel Conejo Torres, known as Leiva, is a Spanish singer-songwriter born on April 30, 1980, in Madrid. He gained fame as the lead vocalist and instrumentalist of the duo Pereza alongside Rubén Pozo for a decade. Leiva is also a songwriter and composer, having initially formed the group Malahierba before Pereza. His stage name is inspired by a football player. His first solo album, 'Diciembre,' showcases his rock'n'roll style. In 2018, he won a Goya Award for Best Original Song for his work on the film 'La Llamada.'
