Lena Maria Veronica Koppel, born on May 19, 1955, in Oskarshamn, is a Swedish director, screenwriter, and producer. Since starting her career in 1985, she has held various roles in film, including script supervisor and assistant director for several Swedish feature films. Koppel began writing and directing a number of short films, often featuring female protagonists. In 1998, she wrote and directed her first feature film, 'Sanna ögonblick,' collaborating with Anders Wahlgren. She gained particular recognition for the 2011 film 'Hur många lingon finns det i världen?' and its 2013 sequel.
