Lena Küchler-Silberman was a Polish Jewish resistance member born in January 1910, notable for her heroic efforts during the Holocaust. She played a pivotal role in saving numerous children and later assisted in their resettlement. Recognized as the most famous surrogate mother of child Holocaust victims, Küchler-Silberman chronicled her experiences in a memoir published in 1959. Additionally, her remarkable story was depicted in the 1987 NBC television movie titled 'Lena: My 100 Children.' She passed away on August 6, 1987.
