Lena Qalimjanovna Şakirjan (1945–2017) was a Soviet and Russian Tatar poet, publicist, and literary scholar. Born into a Tatar teacher family, she graduated from Kazan Pedagogical Institute in 1967 and worked as a teacher before becoming a singer and journalist. She began writing poetry in childhood and published her first book in 1982, later joining the Union of Soviet Writers in 1984. Her literary work reflects women's lives, love quests, and societal issues, particularly national concerns. Şakirjan dealt with personal challenges and passed away at the age of 71.
