Lennart Ståhlfors was a Swedish editor, glider pilot, and silver wings holder born on November 24, 1917, in Gothenburg. He first encountered aviation at a 1923 airshow and saved money to fly a Tiger Moth at 15. He joined the Air Force during WWII and received his silver wings. Notably, he survived what became the first parachute jump from a J 20 fighter. After the war, he became a flight instructor and led KSAK's gliding school. He was active in aviation media and won several awards for his contributions, including the FAI Lilienthal Medal in 1967 and the King’s Medal in 2009.
