Leon Albert "Bud" Edney is a former Admiral of the U.S. Navy, born on March 1, 1935, in Dedham, Massachusetts. He served as the Vice Chief of Naval Operations from 1988 to 1990. His final roles included being the Supreme Allied Commander of NATO in the Atlantic from 1990 to 1992 and simultaneously serving as the Commander of the U.S. Atlantic Command (USLANTCOM).
