Sir Leonard Crossland was an English automobile executive, born on March 2, 1914, in Yorkshire. He joined Ford in 1937, serving in various roles, and became Managing Director in 1967. He was then appointed Chairman from 1968 to 1972. After his tenure at Ford, he took on several directorships in the auto sector. Crossland served in the British Royal Army Service Corps during WWII. He married twice and had two daughters. He passed away on August 5, 1999, at the age of 85.
