Les Cooper was an American doo wop musician, born on March 15, 1921, in Norfolk, Virginia. He gained fame for his rock instrumental hit 'Wiggle Wobble' after signing with Everlast Records in 1962. Cooper sang in several doo wop groups, including The Empires and The Whirlers, and managed The Charts. His single 'Dig Yourself' b/w 'Wiggle Wobble' became a nationwide hit, peaking at No. 12 on the US Billboard R&B chart. Les Cooper passed away on August 3, 2013, in New York City.
