William Leslie Arnold, also known as John Vincent Damon, was an American murderer who killed his parents at the age of 16 in 1958. He buried their bodies in his family's backyard in Omaha, Nebraska, and was sentenced to life in prison in 1959. Arnold escaped from the Nebraska State Penitentiary in 1967, being the last inmate to do so. He later lived in California, Florida, and New Zealand, ultimately residing in Australia until his death in 2010 under the alias John Damon. His true identity was unveiled in 2023 through DNA evidence.
