Leslie Halasz Sabo, Jr. was a soldier in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He served as a sergeant in the 506th Infantry Regiment of the 101st Airborne Division. Sabo was killed in action on May 10, 1970, during the Battle of Se San in Cambodia. Although he was proposed for the Medal of Honor just months after his death, it took 42 years for the award to be officially presented due to the loss of necessary documentation over the decades.
