Lester Boone (1904-1989) was an American jazz musician known for his skills on the alto saxophone, baritone saxophone, and clarinet. He studied at the Illinois College of Music and began his career in bands in Chicago during the 1920s. Over his career, he collaborated with notable artists including Louis Armstrong and Billie Holiday. Boone was active in both Chicago and New York, performing with his own bands and participating in numerous recording sessions from the late 1920s through the 1960s.
