Lev Nikolov Glavinchev was a Bulgarian communist, officer (major general), and politician. He was an activist in the Internal Macedonian Revolutionary Organization and is considered one of the most controversial figures in the Macedonian liberation movement. He participated in the communist partisan movement during World War II and was the commander of the First Sofia Insurgent Operational Zone of the National Liberation Insurgent Army (NOVA). After September 9, 1944, as the commander of the People's Militia, he personally and systematically executed officers, intellectuals, and public figures.
