Levon Zohrabyan was an Armenian geographer and geomorphologist born on February 16, 1919, in Odzun, Georgia. He earned a PhD in geographical sciences in 1962 and became an associate professor in 1954. Levon served as the head of the geomorphology department at the Geological Sciences Institute of the Academy of Sciences of the Armenian SSR. He was also the scientific director of the Dilijan Hydrogeological Expedition from 1978 to 1988, contributing significantly to the study of the Armenian Highlands, mountain structuralism, and landforms.
