Levy Fidelix was a Brazilian politician, businessman, and journalist known for his conservative views. He founded the Brazilian Renewal Labor Party and ran for the presidency in the 2010 and 2014 elections. He gained particular notoriety for his proposal to create a high-speed train connecting São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, as well as for his controversial statements about LGBTQ+ issues during a political debate in 2014. Despite multiple attempts at various political positions, he never won an election. Fidelix passed away on April 23, 2021.
