Libor Uher is a Czech mountaineer and mountain runner born on January 27, 1971, in Palkovice. He made his name by summiting K2 on July 20, 2007, becoming the second Czech to achieve this feat. Following this, he faced serious challenges on his descent, including dehydration and frostbite. He later completed successful ascents of Gasherbrum I and II in 2010, and Broad Peak in 2014. Uher is married with three children and organizes an extreme race in the Beskids called Beskydská sedmička since 2010. He is a member of the Tilak/Opavanet Adventure Race team.
