Lidia Beccaria Rolfi was an Italian teacher, writer, member of the Resistance, and a survivor of the Ravensbrück concentration camp. Born on April 8, 1925, in Mondovì, she documented her experiences in a diary published in 1978. Her diaries are regarded as the first written accounts in Italian regarding the deportation of politically persecuted Italian women to German concentration camps. Rolfi's legacy lies in her contributions to literature and historical testimony of the atrocities faced by women during the war.
