Lilly Caballero de Cueto was a Peruvian educator born on January 9, 1926, in Santa, Ancash. She specialized in early childhood education and dedicated much of her life to combating illiteracy by promoting children's libraries and the role of librarians. A widow of the prominent philosopher and educator Carlos Cueto Fernandini, she had three children: Alonso Cueto Caballero, a writer and journalist; Marcos Cueto Caballero, a historian; and Santiago Cueto Caballero, a psychologist. She passed away on July 8, 2015.
