Lilly Margrete Gardeby (1927-2004) was a Danish-Swedish new age-oriented massager who identified as a healer after connecting with British healer Harry Edwards. She settled in Vingåker, transforming her home into a collective with her husband Ingemar. In 1983, she founded the World Light Center (WLC), which evolved into a sect blending Christianity, Eastern religions, and other mystical beliefs. Known as Mor Lilly, she exhibited manipulative leadership and was deemed controlling, especially towards children, leading to conflicts that resulted in legal actions against her.
