Linda Iris Newbery (born 12 August 1952) is a British author primarily recognized for her contributions to young adult fiction. She made her literary debut with the novel 'Run with the Hare' in 1988 while serving as an English teacher. Over the years, she has expanded her writing to cater to all age groups. Notably, her 2006 work 'Catcall' received the Nestlé Children's Book Prize Silver Award. Additionally, Newbery actively tutors for the Arvon Foundation and is associated with the Society of Authors and the Scattered Authors' Society.
