Lindsey Vonn, born Lindsey Kildow on October 18, 1984, in Saint Paul, Minnesota, is a highly accomplished American skier. At the 2010 Winter Olympics, she won a gold medal in downhill, making her the first American woman to achieve this. Vonn has claimed the overall World Cup title three consecutive times (2008, 2009, 2010), becoming the second woman in history and the first American woman to do so. She also excels in downhill and super-G disciplines, holding numerous records and medals, including Olympic gold and bronze, establishing her as one of the most successful athletes in U.S. skiing history.
