Lisa Randall is an American theoretical physicist renowned for her research in particle physics and cosmology. She has explored many competing models in string theory to explain the fabric of the universe. Randall co-developed the Randall-Sundrum model, published in 1999 alongside Raman Sundrum, although the Large Hadron Collider has not yet proven its validity. She made history as the first woman to achieve tenure in the physics department at Princeton University and the first tenured woman in theoretical physics at both MIT and Harvard University. Additionally, she has authored two books.
