She began her career as a painter and had her first exhibition in 1953, later becoming more acclaimed for her graphic art, especially metal graphic techniques, with her debut in 1966. Her art often features recurring themes of shells and mollusks, along with drawings of butterflies, insects, flowers, and architectural details. Lund has also worked as a teacher in drawing and graphic arts.
