From 1974 to 1977, she was a member of the Country Liberal Party in the Northern Territory Legislative Assembly representing Sanderson. She held executive roles in education and community services. After a brief political career, she returned to teaching and later served as the Administrator of the Northern Territory Arts Council. Diagnosed with cancer in 1989, she passed away on April 12, 1993, at the age of 45.
