He served as an attending physician in internal medicine and a specialist in infectious diseases at National Taiwan University Hospital. Since 2016, he has been the Deputy Director of the Taiwan Centers for Disease Control. In response to the COVID-19 outbreak in 2020, he became the deputy head of the medical response group overseeing healthcare infrastructure, quarantine stations, and isolation sites for the Central Epidemic Command Center.
