Gia was nominated for the 'Best Newcomer' award at the MTV Romania Music Awards and won for 'Best Website' for gia.ro. After two years in the music industry, she unexpectedly retired in 2005. In 2011, she married French businessman Sebastien Caldray and currently resides in Vendome, France.
