Lothar Knaak-Sommer (1925–2006) was a Swiss psychotherapist of Kashubian descent. He was a certified psychotherapist and wrote numerous publications and gave presentations on addiction. His most notable work, co-authored with Boris Luban-Plozza, is 'Der Arzt als Arznei', first published in 1979. The book has been released in several editions over the years. Knaak's contributions to psychotherapy, particularly regarding addiction, have established him as a significant figure in the field.
