Louis John Wicker is an American atmospheric scientist specializing in numerical analysis and severe weather forecasting. He has significant experience in storm chasing and led projects such as VORTEX and TOTO. Wicker conducted pioneering simulations of convection at NCSA and earned his degrees in meteorology from the University of Oklahoma and a Ph.D. from UIUC. He has worked at Texas A&M University and currently researches at the National Severe Storms Laboratory, where he also teaches as an affiliate associate professor.
