Lü Jiong (March 7, 1902 – August 15, 1985), also known as Yu Guang, was a prominent meteorologist and expert in marine meteorology and agricultural meteorology, as well as an educator. He co-authored the book 'Temperature in China' with collaborators Zhu Kezhen and Zhang Baokun. Lü graduated from the Department of Geography and Meteorology at National Southeast University and studied at the University of Berlin and the University of Hamburg, specializing in climatology, oceanography, geology, and agricultural meteorology.
