Lucian Merișca is a Romanian writer known for his contributions to science fiction literature, as well as being a translator and radio editor. Born on April 20, 1958, in Târgu Frumos, Iași, he is the brother of Dan Merișca and the son of historian and writer Costin Merișca. In 1979, he co-founded the SF Quasar literary society in Iași with his brother. He debuted in science fiction in 1981 and has published numerous stories in various magazines, being part of the new wave of Romanian sci-fi writers from the 1980s.
